In a statement to the Commons, the Vaccines Minister Maggie Throup MP said: "Today I can confirm to the house that we are making £162.5m available of additional funding for social care through a workforce retention and recruitment fund to help local authorities work with providers to boost staffing and support existing care workers through the winter".
